Cliffs by the Ocean
This viewpoint is a privileged site where one can identify the general shape of Madeira Island, a shield volcano. On the coastal cliffs, one can observe the old island's internal structure that formed during the first stage of fissural volcanic construction in subaerial environment. This is a perfect spot for sunrise as it is on the East side. For this shooting location pack light and wear comfortable shoes as we will hike a bit, be aware of possible landslides at the edge of the cliffs.
