About
Madeira Event takes place on Madeira Island (FNC airport), off the coast of Portugal. Known as the “European Hawaii,” the island offers a dramatic coastline, volcanic landscapes, and unique nature, including UNESCO-protected areas.
Additional outdoor shoots will take place at selected locations around the island. The event is all-inclusive, including accommodation, transportation, and meals.
This is the third edition of the Madeira Event, with a new concept that includes both 2:1 and 1:1 shooting options and a new sunrise location. We will get to enjoy a luxury oceanfront villa with private access to the sea, which will also be used as a shooting location.
MODELS
For now we have three models confirmed: Lucy Rua (Ireland), Leo Lablanche (Belgium) and Deneb Delmas (France), with more models to be announced. All participating models are experienced, versatile, and comfortable working in both individual and group concepts.

Locations
We will work at four carefully selected locations across Madeira. Sunrise shoots will take place on a location which requires transportation, while sunsets will be photographed in and around the villa. Some locations require light hiking, and the ground can be muddy. Weather can change quickly, especially in the mountains, so good shoes and weather-ready clothing are essential.
Villa
Our base on the southeast side of the island is also one of the shooting locations. The villa has private access to the ocean, a saltwater pool, and a garden with palm trees. Calm light, open space, and direct access to water make it a flexible and reliable setting for sunset shoots.
Foggy Forest
An ancient mountain forest made up of laurel trees, part of a protected ecosystem unique to this region. The trees here can be several hundred years old, shaped by wind and moisture. Fog appears often, but never guaranteed, and can change within minutes. Expect cooler temperatures, wind, drizzle, and possible lens fog. A short hike is required.

A high-altitude volcanic area with red rock formations and open views over the cliffs. The terrain is dry, exposed, and very different from the rest of the island. Sunrise light works especially well here. Wind is common, and sand can be carried through the air.
Sand beach & Rocks
A natural volcanic beach with dark sand, rocks, and surrounding cliffs. The contrast between the sand, ocean, and skin tones makes this location visually strong. Conditions are usually calm, but access involves short walk downhill on uneven ground.

All shooting locations are subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, alternative locations will be carefully selected to ensure the highest quality experience and creative opportunities for all participants.

PHOTOSHOOTS
Two events will take place back to back, each with a different shooting format.
2:1 Shooting Ratio | October 21–25
In this event, two photographers share shooting time with one model. The group is limited to a maximum of 10 photographers and 5 models. This format suits those who are comfortable working alongside another photographer and exchanging ideas during the shoot.
1:1 Shooting Ratio | October 25–29
This smaller event is limited to 5 photographers and 5 models. All shoots will be one to one, without sharing time. It is designed for photographers who prefer a more private and focused working process.
ACCOMMODATIONS
UPDATE for 2:1 event: Currently, only rooms at the Dom Pedro Hotel are available. Located just a 10-minute drive from our villa, the hotel is situated right by the beach in the charming seaside town of Machico.
It’s an ideal spot for those who want to explore local culture and coastal walks during their stay.

Logistics: We organize all transportation between the hotel and the villa.

Privacy: You will have a private bedroom with an ensuite bathroom.

The Vibe: Machico is a beautiful, historic "small city" that offers a peaceful, authentic Madeiran experience.
For the 1:1 event, all participants will stay at the villa. Private bedroom and ensuite bathroom.
MEALS
Those who have been to our events know how important good meals are to us—we truly love to eat well. Our private chef, Richards, will be keeping us fueled with three delicious home-cooked meals a day, plus snacks, local wine, and beer.
You can expect fresh Atlantic fish, relaxed outdoor barbecues, and some of Richard’s own special recipes. We’ll kick things off with a Meet & Greet dinner on arrival and wrap up with a final Farewell Breakfast. We are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions, though please note that we do not cater to personal dislikes.
