Join the 4th edition of Manor Muses in Latvia! This year, we’ll explore a fresh set of stunning locations on the country’s west side. Our main base and one of the shooting locations will be the historic Ēdole Castle, a beautifully preserved landmark full of character. We’ll also shoot at the charming Nogale Manor and the rustic Padure Manor, with each day bringing a new, unique historical backdrop.
The event offers both 2:1 and 1:1 shooting ratios: collaborate in pairs with one model or work solo for full creative freedom. We’ll cover a variety of genres, from portrait and fashion to artistic nude. It’s a fully all-inclusive experience – just arrive at Riga Airport, and we’ll handle the rest, including accommodations, transportation, styling, and delicious Latvian cuisine. Prepare for days filled with creativity, inspiration, and unique photographic opportunities.
MODELS
For this event we have booked professional, creative, and versatile models to ensure an inspiring and dynamic photoshoot experience.
Additional models will be booked depending on the number of participants to maintain the 2:1 shooting ratio, giving each photographer plenty of time and flexibility to capture their vision.

Locations
Padure Manor
Built in the early 19th century by Scottish merchant John Lewis Balfour, Padure Manor is an example of Classicism architecture. The interiors retain original doors, floors, staircases, wall drawings, and eight historic ovens. It is set in a park with a 180-year-old linden alley, providing structured historical spaces suitable for photography.
Ēdole Castle
Built in 1264, Ēdole Castle is the only remaining livable castle from the former Bishopric of Courland. It gained its Neo-Gothic look in the 1830s and sits on an island, offering panoramic views of the Temple Hill, mill pond, park, and Vanka River valley. The castle features towers, arched corridors, grand halls, and preserved medieval interiors. Ēdole Castle will also serve as the main accommodation for this event.
Nogale Manor
Constructed between 1874–1880 in neoclassical style by Teodors Zeilers, Nogale Manor was owned by notable families including the Fircks, Tranzē, and Nolken. Original neorococo and neobaroque interiors, tiled stoves, oak and ash parquet, and tall windows remain. The manor has served as a school and cultural center and is now an empty historical manor, providing a unique environment for photography.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Each attendee will have a private bedroom at Ēdole Castle with a double bed and ensuite bathroom. The rooms are tastefully and elegantly furnished, offering comfort and quiet relaxation after each creative day
PHOTOSHOOTS
You can choose between 2:1 or 1:1 formats:

In 2:1, two photographers share time with one model—perfect for those who enjoy teamwork and exchanging ideas.

In 1:1, each photographer works privately with the model for full creative control.
Styling will be provided by Ilvy, designed to complement the historic elegance of each location.
We’ll shoot a mix of portraits, fashion, and artistic nude, plus special duo sessions and a group shoot featuring all models together for each group.
MEALS
Enjoy three delicious Latvian cuisine meals daily on shooting days, a welcome dinner on arrival day, and a farewell breakfast on departure day.
Meals are freshly prepared with local ingredients, offering a taste of authentic Latvian flavors.
We are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions, though please note that we do not cater to personal dislikes.
TRANSPORT
We provide transportation throughout the event in our spacious vans, making it easy and comfortable to travel between all shooting locations.
Airport transfers:

Arrival (June 8): We offer a single pickup from Riga Airport at 3:00 PM. If you arrive later than this time, you will need to arrange your own transportation. We are happy to assist in organizing a taxi if needed.

Departure (June 12): We provide a transfer that arrives at the airport by 12:15 PM, so please book flights no earlier than 2:00 PM. For earlier flights, you will need to arrange your own transportation, though we can help coordinate a local taxi.
Travel time: Edole Castle is approximately 2 hours’ drive from Riga Airport.
Transportation will also be provided between all shooting locations, ensuring smooth and relaxed logistics throughout the event.

This is an all inclusive event - all you have to do is show up at the RIX airport and we will take care of all the rest.
