We’re happy to announce the next edition of the Golden Hours Event in Latvia! This time we’ll explore different parts of the country, focusing on the Midwest and West side. The landscapes here are full of variety — boulder stone beaches, a Devon stone river, a small waterfall valley, a swamp, and the beautiful manor where we’ll stay and shoot.
We will stay at the picturesque Kalnmuiža Manor for the whole event. Each participant will have a private bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. Our personal chefs will prepare delicious traditional Latvian meals, made from local ingredients. Latvians love good food, and you’ll get to enjoy that experience throughout the event.
This event is all about the golden light hours — we’ll be photographing during sunrise and sunset, when the light is soft, long, and perfect for creating stunning images.

We've secured a lineup of professional, versatile models for an inspiring and dynamic photoshoot experience.
Additional models will be confirmed based on participant numbers to maintain the 2:1 and 1:1 shooting ratios. This setup gives every photographer the necessary time and flexibility to capture their vision.

This coastline is known for its massive Ice Age boulders, left behind when glaciers retreated more than 10,000 years ago. The shoreline is dotted with stones of all sizes, creating a dramatic mix of sea, rocks, and open sky — especially beautiful in low golden light.
Devon stone river
This river runs through exposed Devonian sandstone formations that are around 360–400 million years old. The layered cliffs, reddish tones, and textured rock walls give the area a prehistoric, untouched feeling, making it a striking place for natural portraits and movement shots.
little waterfalls valley
This quiet valley features two small yet scenic waterfalls formed by ancient bedrock and gentle elevation drops. The area is surrounded by forest, moss, and soft filtered light, giving it an intimate atmosphere that works well for calm, close, detail-focused photography.
Swamp
Latvia’s bog landscapes are some of the oldest ecosystems in the region, shaped over thousands of years by peat formation. Open space, soft moss carpets, and the possibility of morning mist create simple, atmospheric compositions that look different every sunrise.
Kalnumuiža manor
Kalnmuiža Manor was built in the mid-1800s in Neo-Classical style. The estate has large historic apple orchards, a river flowing nearby, and beautifully restored interiors. The manor grounds offer several shooting spots — gardens, fields, old trees, and quiet corners that work well between the main outdoor locations.

All shooting locations are subject to change due to weather or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, alternative locations will be carefully selected to ensure the highest quality experience and creative opportunities for all participants.

PHOTOSHOOTS
Styling will be provided by Ilvy Kokomo. We will shoot portraits, fashion, and artistic nude.
This is a 2:1 and 1:1 shooting ratio event, meaning in 2:1 shooting ratio two photographers will work together to photograph one model, whereas in 1:1 shooting ratio one photographer will shoot solo with each model, duo or group. You can choose to collaborate closely or divide your time — both ways work well in our experience. Each day includes 6-7 hours of shooting time, as well as special duo and group sessions with all models.
ACCOMMODATIONS
Participants will stay at the beautifully refurbished Kalnmuiža Manor. You will enjoy a private bedroom and ensuite bathroom, providing comfort and privacy. The charming settings include picturesque landscapes, ensuring an inspiring and relaxing retreat.
MEALS
Enjoy three delicious Latvian cuisine meals daily on shooting days, a welcome dinner on arrival day, and a farewell breakfast on departure day.
Meals are freshly prepared with local ingredients, offering a taste of authentic Latvian flavors.
We are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions, though please note that we do not cater to personal dislikes.
TRANSPORT
We provide transportation throughout the event in our spacious vans, making it easy and comfortable to travel between all shooting locations.
Airport transfers:

Arrival (August 10): We offer a single pickup from Riga Airport at 4:00 PM. If you arrive later than this time, you will need to arrange your own transportation. We are happy to assist in organizing a taxi if needed.

Departure (August 14): We provide a transfer that arrives at the airport by 11:30 AM, so please book flights no earlier than 1:30 PM. For earlier flights, you will need to arrange your own transportation, though we can help coordinate a local taxi.
Travel time: Kalnumuiža is approximately 1,5 hours drive from Riga Airport.
Transportation will also be provided between all shooting locations, ensuring smooth and relaxed logistics throughout the event.
Itinerary

10th August: Arrival day with airport transfers (pickup from RIX airport 16:00) and a welcome dinner at Kalnmuiža Manor at around 19:00.

11th–13th August: Sunrise and sunset photoshoots at stunning outdoor locations, with midday breaks for relaxation at the manor.

14th August: Farewell breakfast, check-out, and airport transfers (departure at 10:00, arrivals at the RIX airport 11:30am).
