About
Last year’s Golden Hours Event in Latvia was one of our best. It wasn’t the easiest — we had very early mornings chasing the light, and the temperatures at sunrise were often cold — but it was completely worth it.
Even though it was our biggest group so far, it felt calm and easy. Everyone was open, respectful, and highly creative. A really strong group of people, both professionally and personally. Looking back at the photos now, they carry not just beautiful light, but also very warm memories.
Our models for this event were Tezztran, Vic, Manya, Petra, and Illyria. Ilvy focused mainly on styling throughout the event, but also joined one half-day of shooting as a model.

The shooting ratio was 2:1, meaning two photographers worked together with one model. This created a collaborative atmosphere where ideas were shared and developed together. Alongside individual sessions, we also worked on duo concepts and group scenes with all models, and sometimes even with Rudolfs posing with all the models.
The first day started at sunrise in the Devonian stone caves and river valley. We had soft mist in the beginning, which slowly lifted as sunlight came through the trees. Later that day, we moved to the coast for a sunset shoot. Strong wind and powerful waves created a dramatic mood — perfect conditions for movement in hair and clothing. We ended the day with a relaxed beach picnic prepared by our chef, Ričards.
On the second day, we photographed sunrise in the manor gardens where we were staying. Again, there was a quiet mist that gave way to warm morning light. In the evening, we worked at a farmhouse surrounded by large flower gardens and fruit trees — a softer and more detailed setting.
The third day began very early at a long rocky pier by the Baltic Sea. The light was clean and golden, with still water creating beautiful reflections. Some of the strongest images of the event came from this location.
On the final evening, we returned to the manor for a few last shoots, followed by a swim in the lake and a traditional sauna. We closed the event with a photo viewing and shared a few words before saying goodbye.
Despite the cold mornings, the models stayed fully present and committed throughout. Their strength and attitude made a big difference and allowed us to create consistently strong work.
This event was a reminder that the combination of good light, thoughtful locations, and the right group of people can create something truly special.
